Higher Education Academic Compliance Specialist

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished Academic Aompliance Specialist who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. About your new role

The Academic Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all existing and proposed academic programs, courses, and policies align with both internal governance frameworks and external regulatory standards, such as TEQSA requirements and the Higher Education Standards Framework. Finally, the specialist supports academic governance by preparing materials for the Academic Board, updating policies and procedures, monitoring regulatory developments, and maintaining accurate evidence repositories to ensure ongoing audit readiness.

What you will need to exceed

• Hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or have equivalent professional experience, specifically with demonstrated experience in academic compliance, accreditation, or quality assurance within the Australian higher education sector.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of TEQSA requirements and the Higher Education Standards Framework
• Demonstrate the ability to interpret regulatory standards, translate them into practical guidance, and apply them effectively in a higher education setting.
• Have hands-on experience supporting course approvals, professional accreditations, or regulatory submissions.
• Exhibit excellent written skills to produce clear, accurate, and regulator-ready documentation.
• Display high-level organizational skills to manage competing deadlines and priorities

Must have

• Demonstrated experience in academic compliance, accreditation, or quality assurance specifically within the Australian higher education sector.
